Kellan's Hospital Stay

I was such a big boy, weighing in at 8lbs1.6ozs! All the nurses and midwives were impressed at how I made my way into this world with relative ease. Mom and Dad were VERY happy to see me, though I think my mom was a bit shocked with my gender considering she was calling me a 'her' the entire 9 months. Everything at the hospital went well, though I did have to spend 24hrs under bili lights to prevent my minimal jaundice from getting worse. My mom was impressed with how well I did. She could feed me every 3 hours, but was not able to hold me otherwise....she would hold my hand and shhh, shhh in my ear to calm me.

Grandma Carol made it in time for my arrival. She changed her flight two days early, and lucky she did, because she would not have made it in time to see my birth. I was born four days before I was due. Grandpa Wally got me my first flower. Considering I was born in Hawaii, he thought a lei was fitting. It made the room smell so good!
